+`path.Dir` returns all but the last element of `PATH`, typically `PATH`'s directory.
+
+The returned path will never end in a slash.
+If `PATH` is empty, `.` is returned.
+
+**Note:** On Windows, `PATH` is converted to slash (`/`) separators.
+
